The power of punctuality

My father was a bus driver in Namibia. He retired just a few years ago but in all his years on the job, he was never late and never called in sick.

His shifts started at 5am, finished at 11am, and then resumed from 3pm to 9pm. It was a demanding schedule, but his commitment never wavered. Growing up, I didn’t think much of it. But as I got older, I've realized how deeply his work ethic had shaped me. I once asked my brother and sister if they ever show up late to work both said they hate being late. It’s something we all learned from watching our dad lead by example.

I've brought these attitudes to Uazen and its staff where we see that lateness doesn’t just impact one person it affects the whole team and can cost the company time and efficiency. Being on time might seem small, but it’s a sign of respect, reliability, and pride in what you do.

Sometimes, the best lessons aren’t spoken they’re lived.
